Princess Chan is a Cambodian-American poet, blogger, and community organizer from Lowell, Massachusetts. She has represented Mill City on the college, adult, and youth teams and graced the final stage of the 2013 Louder Than A Bomb Massachusetts. Currently, she is the programs coordinator for the non-profit youth organization FreeVerse! (co-coaching the 2014 LTAB Massachusetts Champions), and the proud female voice of Untitled Open Mic & Slam. You can find her work in Lowell’s anthology “Young Angel Midnight“.
Alex Charalambides is a free lance performance poet, teaching artist and youth arts activist from Worcester, Massachusetts. He’s competed at several national poetry slam tournaments, placing as high as 5th in the country. He’s toured extensively throughout North America, released four books and 2 spoken word albums. Founder of the Worcester Youth Poetry Slam, he spent 8 years directing operations, coaching and chaperoning teens at the Brave New Voices International Youth Festival. Co-Founder and Managing Director of Mass L.E.A.P. Collective, (Non-Profit Youth Poetry Organization), he teaches performance poetry in schools and coordinates special events like the annual Louder than a Bomb Massachusetts Youth Poetry Slam Festival. He’s appeared as a mentor for the nationally aired PBS Childrens Show “Fetch” and was recently named a 2011 Worcester Arts Council Fellowship Award Recipient.
